hello

I wanted to get my blog up and going again. There is so much going on with me and my family that I wanted to share with my loving family and friends that I don't get to see or talk to very often. ENJOY!

This 2007 Fall has been such a fun and fulfilling time for us. Lots of new things happening in our lives. I'll give you an update:

ANJ - I ran my first half marathon in September... the IU mini marathon... My stats: I finished 667 out of 1130 total runners, 39th place out of the 86 25yr old females, with an overall time of 2hrs 10min 36 sec, averaging a 9 min. 58 sec. mile!!! Seemingly average, but I was ecstatic about finishing in such great time for my first half marathon ever! As for the rest of the Fall semester, I am in survival mode trying to get through it all being a law school widow. I am having lots of fun with my kiddies and doing many fall activities. I am also having fun hanging with the Young Women in our ward - such a fun group of girls.

MATTHIAS
- I don't really know anything about him. I never see him. Hahahaha! Just kidding. He is crazy busy with law school, IU Moot Court, president of the JRCLS, writing on the IJGLS (law journal), getting ready for the Environmental Law Moot Court in NY, clerking for a local judge, Tenant Assistance Project, applying and interviewing for a summer 2008 internship, playing inter mural flag football and indoor soccer, along with being the rockin' best daddy I could ever want for my boys! I don't know how he does it all.

TY- He started preschool this fall and absolutely loves it! My favorite part about it is the art projects he comes home with twice a week that I get to hang up on my wall. He is also playing soccer once a week and is on the Giraffes team. One of Matt's Law professors is Ty's coach. He has come a long way from last soccer season and is learning how to kick with his "weaker foot", how to trap the ball, and how to do a "give and go". Last season he couldn't focus on the drills, but kept watching the planes fly by and digging in a dirt hole! Another highlight of this fall season is the Spanish class he is taking. He goes only once a week for a half hour with his daddy and learns fun words like Brujas=witches, calabazas=pumpkins, colors, emotions, etc. They play games and sing songs. We practice a lot at home, and he already knows a lot more that I do!

BECKHAM- I love having Beckham time. I take him to the Library while Matthias takes Ty to Spanish and we play and run errands while Ty is in preschool. It is so great to have that one-on-one time with him. He has started saying so many words lately - his newest are HAT and WITCHES. My most favorite feature of his is his hair. It is long and curly at the ends. I just can't make myself cut it. He is sosoosososo cute and happy and smiley all the time. His favorite meal is bfast and can out eat everyone except his dad, especially when bfast is waffles. He loves wrestling with his big brother and lately likes to laugh like a scary witch. It is hilarious!

Fall family pictures are coming soon! Mwah!
