18 months

Beckham is 18 months old! Not sure what that really means? Perhaps not much, however, it does mean that he gets to go to nursery at church as opposed to tagging along with dad to the less than entertaining classes that he goes to. Well, I imagine that any entertainment hat did exist in the classes involved Beckham, so now that the classes will be Beckhamless, they will really be unexciting. Matthias took him to nursery today and stayed with him for most of the time. Beckham really enjoyed playing with the toys, however, he had a hard time sitting still through the lesson, singing and story times, which required him to sit on a little carpet square. Matthias had to keep him entertained on the square by bouncing it up and down.

Beckham was also somewhat confused by "ring around the rosies." When everyone began walking in a circle, Beckham was slow to move his feet due to his amazement with everyone else moving and chanting in unison. He really messed up the first round of the game! He was likewise baffled when everyone (but him) fell down. He got very angry when one of the little boys decided that instead of "we all fall down" it was "we all knock Beckham down." Beckham went down and through a little tantrum. Snack time was a success! Matthias said that the nursery leaders gave Beckham smaller portions (because he was the smallest/youngest), however, Beckham quickly downed his pretzels, raisins and water forcing him to take the other kids snacks. He about had another kids pretzels before the leaders noticed and promptly reloaded his plate, this time with sufficient pretzels and raisins.

So, what does 18 months mean? I don't know, but I guess part of it is that Beckham is growing up, just like Ty. He still is such a cutie though! Him and Ty are perhaps the most adorable little guys you might encounter. They keep us laughing and definitely on our toes. Ahhh, cute boys!
