Ty Fly, inc.

While we were up at the cabin, Ty started tying flies with cousin Cole and has since continued to add to his personal collection. Impressive, no?

[Stringy Bluff, Ghost Buster, Lipstick Lady II*]

[Masked Threat, Mr. Fantastic, Miss Piggy]

[the Ugly Duckling, Two Tails, Death in Disguise]

Each fly is a limited edition of one, simply because it cannot be duplicated. If you want your own limited edition Ty Fly, contact Ty directly. He is very friendly and enthusiastic about creating fly patterns.

*Dad, refresh my memory of the origins of the first Lipstick Lady (late 80's).

I love them all Ty but after closely examining them my favorite would have to be Two Tails. But my favorite name is Death in Disguise. You got some real talent Ty.

Excellent flies Mr. Ty! My personal favorite is Miss Piggy, I am certain it will fish well. As for the original Lipstick Lady Fly: One weekend with our little boys, I taught them to tie flies. When it was Eric's turn, he picked very flashy materials, with a yellow theme. Upon completion, I asked him to name it and after thinking for a while, and with a little smirk on his face, he named it "the Lipstick Lady". I asked him how he came up with this name (keep in mind he was about 7). He said it looked like Angie Barney, a women in the neighborhood who the kids called the Lipstick Lady. Mrs. Barney wore flashy clothes, lots of shiny jewelry, and had big lips that always were very shiny with multiple layers of lipstick applied. Thus, the Lipstick Lady fly! We laughed for a solid hour, and have laughed many times since. When I used to still see Mrs. Barney, I often wanted to tell her that she was famous, having a very good looking stillwater fly named after her, but I thought she might hit me. There you go Anj, the rest of the story!
