finally done!

2.5 years in the making...

This quilt started out as a baby quilt for Ty, but quickly grew to a twin size quilt because I had extra material. The only reason I finished this tonight is because my sweet mamma is in town visiting and she helped me complete the binding. We sat side by side and stitched the night away! This is my first quilt, and I am so excited that it turned out so well and that it is finally a finished piece! My grandma Jones taught me how to quilt by hand, but I pieced this together with a sewing machine, paid to have it machine quilted, and hand stitched the binding. My hope is that Ty will take it to college with him! ;)

I can't help but point out (in case you don't notice) the faded, old-fashioned Cowboys and Indians fabric I used, and the stitching in the binding "Handmade by Mommy 2008."

Yeah! I'm so glad you finished it. Glad you got the motivation to get that last half of the binding done cause if you weren't going to do it, I was going to come over and do it for you! ;)

It's beautiful!
