make me happy

Can you tell that my camera is broken? These are the last pictures I had saved to blog about. Either my blog career will come to an end, or I will get a new camera. Oh, the suspense!

Ty brought this little booklet home he made one Sunday in his Sunbeam primary class. You know me, I absolutely love getting tangible projects my kids make at school and primary. I always hang the little goodies on the fridge or on my art wall. I wanted to wait and take a look at the booklet after the after-church-lunch-madness, without distractions. And so, with dancing fingers and great anticipation for what I was to find inside this book, I sat down and opened it...

...and this is what I found. Aha...Sounds about right. Ty loves movies. We don't have TV stations, and so he usually gets to watch one movie a day during Beckham's nap. It is pretty much the highlight of his day.

Ok. This one was probably prompted by his teacher. We've talked a lot about his allergies and taking care of our bodies, but I don't think he would have thought this up on his own.

Woa! I burst out laughing at this one! This is definitely Ty, and let me tell you why.

For about the last six months, every time he sees a baby girl, he says, "Oh mom, look at how cute that baby is. Isn't she cute?!" He's told several people that he is going to have a baby sister soon, and that her name will be Flower. When I asked him why Flower? he said that "Girls are pretty and so are flowers." When I was walking back to my car one day, after dropping Ty off at camp, one of the moms said, "Ty told me you are having a girl! When are you due?" I admit, I would like to loose a few pounds, but my body shape is the type with a slimmer waist and a meaty booty, not the look of a bun in the oven. It took me a second to put two and two together, and so after being confused by her question, I knew that Ty had been spreading some false rumors.

This last picture, I imagine, is of his hoped for baby sister, Flower.

I do need to clear up any false ideas or misconceptions that I am "with child" as I am most definitely not. Flower may come to be some day, named by another name of course, but maybe she won't... only the far future will tell. I live to make my kids happy and would do almost anything for them, but this is not one of those things.Poor Ty.

I think the jump to 3 kids would be the most difficult. 2 it is for us just now as well.

My oldest told people for nearly a year his mommy was going to grow a baby in her tummy... look out because I am now growing a baby (3rd) in my tummy!

How nice it would be to have life simple enough to want another baby and just do it. The life I live in it is sooooo not happening for a long time. For me it is a baby boy Ryker (or however Cole would spell it). Now I know Ryker is ready to come but right now I don't like Ryker and I can't bring myself to even think about when we should bring him here. At least I don't have my kids drawing pictures of our future child and writing books about them either. Man you must FEEL THE PRESSURE big time.

When your family does grow, I really hope it is a Flower or Ty will be pretty devastated. He has a deceptively sweet way of communicating his desires.

You can borrow my camera anytime. Oh wait, mine is broken too and it's the same brand and model as yours! What's up with that?!
